Florida State University shooting: 5 dead

A shooting at Florida State University has killed five people, CNN and Associated Press sources reported.

At the time of the incident, the university administration urged students to take safety measures:
“Close doors and stay away from windows,” the announcement said.

Law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, are also working at the scene. The suspect has been detained.

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare confirmed that it is receiving the injured, but did not disclose specific details.

One student said he was shocked after hearing the news of the shooting:
“I had friends among the people who were being evacuated with their hands up,” he recalled.

A university employee said he heard gunshots and saw people running.
