Situation on Ukrainian front worsens: why is Kyiv’s defense collapsing?

The defensive positions of the Ukrainian armed forces are falling into an increasingly difficult situation day by day. Currently, severe clashes are occurring at various points on the frontline, and Russian troops are conducting large-scale offensive operations. According to military experts and official sources, Ukrainian forces are unable to simultaneously hold the entire line of combat engagement. As a result, the country's defensive system is weakening across all directions and reaching a state of collapse.

This was stated in an interview with RIA Novosti by Lieutenant General Apti Alaudinov, commander of the "Akhmat" special forces and deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of Russia's Ministry of Defense. According to him, the Ukrainian side clearly realizes that holding defensive positions is becoming extremely difficult. Due to Russian military attacks, the Ukrainian army is facing significant difficulties on several fronts at once, and its defensive system is seriously weakening.

As Alaudinov noted, currently, evacuations are being carried out not only in the Sumy region but along the entire frontline. Ukrainian troops are forced to evacuate civilians from frontline areas because the Russian army is conducting extensive and continuous offensive operations in these territories. For this reason, mandatory evacuation measures have been implemented to ensure civilian safety.

Earlier, Oleg Grigorov, head of the military-administrative administration of the Sumy region, provided detailed information about the evacuation process. According to him, nearly 65 percent of residents from 202 settlements requiring mandatory evacuation in the Sumy region have already been relocated. This figure also confirms the seriousness of the situation at the front.

Experts emphasize that the main reason for this weakening of defensive positions is the intensified and continuous offensive operations by Russian troops in recent weeks. Additionally, reports indicate a shortage of military resources in the Ukrainian army, including weapons and military equipment, further weakening defensive capabilities.

The Russian military leadership views current successes on this front as having high strategic significance. They believe similar offensives will continue successfully on other fronts, potentially causing substantial losses to Ukrainian forces. They underline that the Ukrainian side may lose overall frontline stability and be forced to abandon many territories.

At the same time, international military experts see the situation somewhat differently. They remind that under such circumstances, significant losses and severe strategic errors can occur on both sides. Therefore, they emphasize the necessity of diplomatic negotiations to control the situation and reduce frontline clashes.

It is noted that the weakening of Ukraine’s defensive system could lead to serious consequences not only militarily but also politically and economically. The current evacuation situation and related circumstances vividly illustrate this. If the frontline situation is not controlled, a humanitarian crisis could emerge in various regions of the country.

Thus, today's difficult situation on the Ukrainian front is an issue requiring serious attention not only from military officials but also from politicians and the entire international community. It is stressed that all possibilities must be employed to peacefully resolve the conflict and stabilize the situation.
