Nowadays, technology not only makes our lives easier, but sometimes it can also reveal the most secret secrets of a person. A striking example of this is a case in Britain where a woman discovered her husband's infidelity using a smart toothbrush.
According to private detective Paul Jones, his client found information that at first glance seems absurd, but in fact is serious evidence, using the "smart toothbrush" application. This application records the brushing activity of family members with the exact time and date.
The woman did not suspect her husband for the first time. On Fridays, when he was supposed to be at work, his teeth-brushing "sessions" were recorded. However, the fact that these sessions always occurred at the same time and only on Fridays increased suspicion. Especially since the man was supposed to be at work on these days, everyone was surprised.
Interestingly, the man had not been at "work" every Friday for three months, but had been at home. It turns out that he was having an affair with a colleague at work and invited her to his house when his wife and children were not at home.
Paul Jones concludes: “We usually think of infidelity as being revealed through text messages or emails. But modern technology, including smart devices, can only reveal the truth in silence. The evidence of infidelity is in the dаta: timestamps, location data, and glorious precision. It is difficult to explain the information on the toothbrush record that says teeth were brushed at 10:48.”
The incident not only caused a discussion on the Internet, but also raised serious thoughts among the public about the extent to which personal life can be exposed through technology. With “gadgets” that reveal the truth, the concept of personal privacy has once again been called into question.
