The confrontation between Iran and Israel has intensified: new technology, new victims

Tensions in the Middle East have reached a new level — on June 16, Iranian rockets reached Israel’s most important cities, Tel Aviv and Haifa; as a result of this attack, at least 5 people were killed and more than 100 were injured. According to Reuters, this time the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps used a “new method,” which served to weaken Israel’s strong air defense system.

According to official sources, during the attack Iran used advanced tactical approaches to distract the defense system. As a result, Israel’s air defense systems made a mistake and attacked each other. This allowed most of the rockets to reach their intended targets without obstacles. In response, Israel’s defense minister threatened to deliver a strong strike on the Iranian capital and stated: “The people of Tehran will see it with their own eyes.”

Escalation of the conflict and high-ranking victims

One of the latest incidents — on June 15, as a result of a high-precision strike, the head of the IRGC intelligence, Mohammad Kazimi, and his deputy were killed. After this, Israeli aviation delivered further strikes on the command centers of Iran’s armed forces and the IRGC.

The Israeli army, aiming to prevent the creation of nuclear weapons, began a large-scale air operation against Iran starting Friday. As of now, Tehran and other strategic points — missile factories, uranium enrichment facilities in Natanz — are being bombed regularly. Israeli sources have announced the elimination of a number of high-ranking military officials, elite IRGC unit members, and nuclear scientists.

Economic and humanitarian consequences

The military unrest has affected not only the number of casualties but also the economic situation: on June 16, the oil price rose by 0.62% to $74.69 per barrel. This is clear proof that the Middle Eastern conflict is also affecting global markets.

The heaviest consequences are in the humanitarian sphere: according to Iran’s Ministry of Health, since the beginning of this escalation, the number of people killed in the country has reached 224, more than 90% of whom are civilians. On the Israeli side, the number of victims has reached 18.

This new stage in the Middle East is causing serious concern not only regionally but also internationally. Iran’s military technology and tactical approaches are proving effective, while Israel is determined to respond harshly and firmly to this threat.
