Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) MP Maryana Bezuhla is expressing serious concern about the country’s near future. On her Telegram page, she stated that Ukraine may soon cease to exist as a state or split into several small "puppet" states.
According to Bezuhla, Ukraine is currently not receiving support from any major global powers — neither the US, Russia, China, nor from a fragmented European Union. “Right now we belong to no one, and we must understand that the most difficult days are ahead of us,” the MP wrote. She described this period as a crucial stage in Ukraine’s formation as an independent state.
The MP believes that secret deals and internal conflicts are escalating within Ukraine’s political circles. This, she says, is leading to serious negative trends that could undermine the foundations of statehood. “Power should not be an end in itself, but only a tool for implementing ideas,” Bezuhla said, noting that although the government system can currently maintain stability, it is unable to lead the country to victory.
The state of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is also a cause for concern for the MP. Due to government inaction and corruption — especially regarding the development of drones — army progress is being derailed. She noted that the army is not capable of stopping the Russian military’s advance into new territories.
Bezuhla also warned that if, after a change in government, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi remain in their posts, she would launch open opposition against President Volodymyr Zelensky and the head of his office, Andriy Yermak.
It is worth noting that Bezuhla has previously criticized the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ leadership, especially Syrskyi, Umerov, and former commander-in-chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi, on numerous occasions.
