On June 24 of this year, he achieved a remarkable success that serves as an example to many: he climbed one of the highest peaks of the Caucasus mountain range — Mount Ararat, standing at 5,137 meters — and raised the CBU flag at the summit.

Andrey Tarantin has been actively engaged in mountaineering and mountain trekking since 2021. He first ascended mountains over 3,000 meters in the Tashkent, Kashkadarya, and Surkhandarya regions. Then in May 2023, he climbed one of the highest points in Europe — Mount Elbrus (5,642 meters). In May 2024, he successfully ascended Mount Giluwe (4,368 meters), a volcano located in Papua New Guinea, in the region of Oceania and Australia.

This time, he conquered Mount Ararat as part of a professional climbing team called “Mysterious Uzbekistan.” This expedition required not only physical but also mental endurance, preparation, and team unity. Raising the CBU flag at the summit of Ararat was a source of pride and responsibility for him.

According to Andrey Tarantin, mountaineering is not just a hobby, but an important activity that shapes his inner world and strong will. “Climbing towards high peaks is not only about mountains — it’s also about striving toward big goals in life and building spiritual strength to overcome any challenge,” he says.
