China begins 30-day visa-free regime for Russians

Relations between China and Russia are entering a new stage. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, starting from September 15, 2025, citizens of the Russian Federation will be able to enter the country without a visa.

This arrangement will be implemented on a trial basis for one year and will remain in force until September 14, 2026. During this period, Russian citizens will be able to visit China without a visa for business, tourism, or personal purposes and stay for up to 30 days.

According to official Beijing, this decision is aimed at strengthening close cooperation between the two states and supporting the free exchange of citizens. The official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Guo Jiaku, stated that the initiative will encourage not only the tourism sector but also trade and cultural ties.

At the same time, experts draw attention to the political significance of this step. In recent years, the strategic partnership between Moscow and Beijing has strengthened significantly, and cooperation in various fields has reached a new stage.

It should be noted that China has previously concluded similar visa-free agreements with a number of countries, which led to a sharp increase in tourist flows and mutual economic relations. The system established with Russia is also expected to further stimulate bilateral relations.

Thus, while new opportunities are opening up for Russian tourists and entrepreneurs, China has taken another step to revive its economy and strengthen its influence on the international stage.
