4,000 children lost their limbs due to injuries in Gaza

The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzari informed about the tragic situation in the Gaza Strip. He noted that during Israel's military operations, which began on October 7, 2023, 4,000 children underwent amputation of arms or legs in one year.

According to Lazzarini, Gaza is one of the regions with the highest number of children in the world. Every day, hundreds of sour children die or suffer serious injuries and become disabled. This is a major blow to the fate of the entire generation.

In his address, he expressed the following opinion:

"The longer this situation continues, the more severe the mental and physical damage that will remain for children and future generations. At the very least, it is necessary to immediately cease fire on children."

According to official reports, since October 7, 2023, 65,419 Palestinians have been killed in attacks in the Gaza Strip. Among those who died, women and children make up the majority. At the same time, 167,160 people were injured to varying degrees.

Officials emphasized that these figures are only those recorded in medical and official reports, and in reality, the number of losses and casualties may be even higher.
