Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the US and announced the main objectives of this visit. He noted that important negotiations in the defense and energy spheres will be held during the visit.
"I'm already in Washington. Meetings with major defense companies are scheduled for today. They are powerful weapons manufacturers capable of strengthening Ukraine's defense. In particular, we will discuss the issue of additional deliveries of air defense systems," Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram page.
The head of state also announced that negotiations are underway with American energy companies. According to him, Russia is striking Ukraine's energy system daily, and maintaining the country's stability has become an important task.
Zelenskyy stated that he will meet with US President Donald Trump tomorrow. The Ukrainian leader hopes that this dialogue will be a step towards ending the war with Russia.
"I believe that this meeting will serve to end the war against Russia. The language of force and justice works effectively with Moscow as well. We see that Russia is preparing for negotiations as soon as it hears about new weapons," Zelenskyy said.
