The German company SINN Power has launched the world's first vertically floating solar power plant. The project was implemented in Bavaria with a capacity of 1870 kW and an annual energy output of 2 million kWh. This indicator will allow hundreds of households to be provided with stable electricity.
The main innovation of the station is the Skipp-Float system. Solar panels are installed vertically through it. Such a location allows for better reception of sunlight in the morning and evening hours of the day, which ensures stable and efficient electricity generation.
At the same time, this technology does not cause any harm to the aquatic environment. The system occupies only 4.65% of the water body. This is of great importance in ensuring environmental sustainability.
