Zelensky: “Not an inch of land will be given to Russia”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky firmly stated that the country will never give its land to Russia, local media reported. According to him, the territory of Ukraine belongs only to the Ukrainian people, and not an inch of it “will be gifted to the invader.”

“Ukrainians will not give their land to anyone. We will not present anything to the occupier. The answer to this is clearly written in our Constitution — no one can deviate from it,” Zelensky said in his address broadcast on national television.

The president made these remarks amid reports of possible talks between former U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin held without Ukraine’s participation. Zelensky described such agreements as “completely illegal” and “a factor that only fuels continued hostilities.”

According to Zelensky, the war must end, but it is Russia — not Ukraine — that must do so. “We will not stop fighting for our land,” he said.

The head of state also added that Ukraine’s territorial integrity will never be a subject of negotiation, and any agreement reached without the country’s involvement will not lead to genuine peace.
