In the United Kingdom, a stabbing incident occurred on a train traveling on the Doncaster–London route. According to initial reports, 11 people were injured, two of them in serious condition. The incident took place on Saturday evening near Huntingdon station.
According to police, panic broke out on the train during the attack. Some passengers hid from the attacker in the buffet car and the toilet. Witnesses said the attacker injured several people with a knife, and some tried to stop him.
After the train stopped at Huntingdon station, police and paramedics arrived at the scene. The injured received first aid and were taken to nearby hospitals. There were traces of blood inside the train, and some passengers provided emergency assistance.
The British Transport Police confirmed that two people had been arrested. The motive for the attack remains unknown, and an investigation has begun. Officials are treating the incident as a serious security matter.
