Trump: C5+1 summit marks a new era in US-Central Asian relations

US President Donald Trump called the high-level C5+1 summit held at the White House "the beginning of a remarkably new relationship between the US and the countries of Central Asia." He made this statement on his page on the Truth Social social network.

According to the President, the summit was attended by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, and the leader of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Trump described them as "the leaders of the new generation of Central Asia" and noted that he had the honor of meeting them at the White House.

"For the past thirty years, American leaders have not paid enough attention to this region. But now the situation is changing. "In this region, located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, with its rich mineral resources, energy sources, and talented human capital, the US has found its important and reliable partner," Trump wrote.

Within the framework of the summit, the US and the countries of Central Asia signed multi-billion-dollar commercial agreements strengthening cooperation in the fields of aviation, agriculture, railways, automotive industry, IT, and essential minerals. Trump emphasized that these agreements will create tens of thousands of new jobs not only in the region but also in the US itself.

In his statement, the American leader noted that this summit marked the beginning of a new geopolitical stage in relations with Central Asia. In his opinion, now the countries of the region will open new opportunities by expanding cooperation with the USA in the field of international trade, investment, and security.

White House sources also assessed the summit as "one of the most effective dialogues in the C5+1 format," noting that the implementation of the agreements will give impetus to economic stability and infrastructure development in Central Asia.

According to analysts, this summit was important not only economically, but also politically - it launched Washington's new strategy for Central Asia. Trump's statement also confirms this point: "America now sees cooperation in this region not only as a political, but also as the main engine of economic development," he said.
