A tragic incident occurred in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan - as a result of a powerful explosion on the territory of the city courthouse, at least 6 people died, and 12 others were injured of varying degrees. This was reported by the local police department.
According to reports, ambulance and rescue services immediately arrived at the scene after the explosion. The victims were taken to nearby hospitals.
Currently, security forces are closing the entire territory and investigating the causes of the explosion. According to preliminary police information, the explosion may have occurred in a car parked near the courthouse.
Samaa TV confirmed this information, stating that the source of the explosion was indeed a vehicle parked in the courtyard.
At the same time, Geo TV sources suggested that the terrorist may have carried out the incident.
The Pakistani government and law enforcement agencies launched an investigation and formed a special commission to determine the causes of the incident.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the incident. Security measures have been strengthened in the country.
