A 22-year-old man, accustomed to energy drinks in Russia, lost his legs. Artem, a resident of St. Petersburg, was addicted to computer games and had a habit of drinking energy drinks to stay sober.
The young man, who initially consumed one jar a day, eventually got used to drinking up to 3-5 on an empty stomach. One day, she was hospitalized with severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and nausea, and she was diagnosed with pancreatitis. However, after treatment, the disease recurred again, and a cyst appeared in the pancreas.
When he was hospitalized for the third time, the situation worsened: purulent necrosis developed in the pancreas, the body was poisoned, and Artem's legs became paralyzed. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation and learning to walk again.
Warning: experts emphasize that excessive consumption of energy drinks, especially on an empty stomach, is seriously dangerous for the pancreas, heart, and blood vessels.
