The astrophotographer photographed the parachutist against the background of the Sun

Astrophotographer Andrew McCarthy presented an unusual photographic project called "The Fall of Icarus," in which a parachutist is depicted against the background of the Sun. The photographer noted that it took several weeks of planning and six attempts to position the plane relative to the Sun to create the frame.

Blogger and musician Gabriel S. Brown was a model for the filming, who jumped from a height of 1070 meters, approximately two and a half kilometers away from the photographer.

"We had a very narrow viewing angle, so we had to try it several times. "We had only one attempt to jump - it took a very long time to safely reinstall the parachute," McCarthy said.
