The reason for school closures in Australia is magical sand

An unexpected incident occurred in Canberra, the capital of Australia - 69 schools were temporarily closed at the beginning of the week due to asbestos detection. This harmful substance is said to have been found in sand castle collections and magical colored sands popular among children.
According to ABC, concerns worsened after traces of asbestos were discovered in the magic sand products sold in Kmart and Target stores. Officials say that these toys were used in schools even more often than they thought.
Currently, large-scale inspections are being carried out in closed educational institutions. School staff and volunteers are inspecting classrooms, corridors, and warehouses one by one, searching for traces of colored sand. All found samples are marked on a special map.
Tests may take several days. Specialists emphasize that ensuring the safety of students is a top priority.
