Two ministers resigned in Ukraine following corruption scandal

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dismissed two ministers. According to Meduza, Justice Minister Hermann Galushenko and Energy Minister Svetlana Grinchuk were dismissed amid a corruption scandal.

During the parliamentary vote, 323 deputies voted for Galushenko's resignation, while 315 deputies voted for Grinchuk. These decisions were adopted by a majority vote.

Earlier, the state-owned company "Energoatom" and the Ukrainian businessman Timur Mindich were temporarily suspended from their posts due to corruption accusations. Members of the Rada reacted sharply to this situation.

In fact, the Verkhovna Rada planned to hold a vote on the resignation of ministers on November 18. However, on the same day, the meeting was temporarily suspended because some deputies blocked the parliamentary platform, demanding the resignation of all government members.

It is currently unknown who will be appointed to these positions. Observers assess these changes as part of possible structural changes in the government.
