Erdogan Expects US Participation for Peace

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on the Russia-Ukraine war following his meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Ankara. He emphasized that the active participation of the United States, along with Russia, is crucial for stopping the conflict and accelerating the negotiation process.

According to Erdogan, Ankara is ready to discuss with Moscow proposals that will lay the foundation for a just, stable, and long-term peace.

"First of all, we are ready to consider initiatives that can accelerate reconciliation with Russia. "We consider the cooperation of the United States of America very important in this process," the Turkish leader said in a statement to the media.

Ankara believes that Washington's accession will give new impetus to the diplomatic process and could play a significant role in bringing the parties closer to the negotiating table.
