Today, May 13, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Kazakhstan for an official visit accompanied by his wife, Emine Erdogan. This was reported by TRT.
High-level diplomatic negotiations are planned during this visit to discuss taking cooperation between the two countries to a new level. Initially, Erdogan will participate in bilateral meetings in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. Afterwards, he will attend an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States leaders in Turkistan.
As part of the official meetings, Erdogan will hold one-on-one talks with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Independence Palace. This meeting is of great importance for strengthening bilateral relations and further developing political and economic ties.
The heads of state will also co-chair the Turkey-Kazakhstan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting. The focus of this meeting is expected to be on deepening the comprehensive partnership and strengthening mutual trust and cooperation.
In the economic dimension of the visit, expanding trade and economic ties is the main focus. Specifically, the parties will discuss plans to increase the volume of mutual trade to $15 billion. Additionally, joint energy projects, investment initiatives, and infrastructure cooperation are on the agenda.
During the trip, the leaders of Turkey and Kazakhstan will also participate in a business forum and meet with entrepreneurs from both countries. These dialogues are expected to open new investment opportunities, increase the number of joint projects, and revitalize economic relations.
Overall, this visit is seen as a significant step in strengthening the strategic partnership between Turkey and Kazakhstan, activating political dialogue, and taking economic cooperation to a new level.
