From November 20, 2025, an important innovation was introduced for foreigners traveling to China: now it is possible to fill out entry cards into the country in digital form. This was reported by "Aerotur."
The goal of the updated digital system is to significantly simplify the entry process for foreign citizens. Travelers can enter their personal information either before departure via s.nia.gov.cn or online upon arrival in China. As soon as the application is approved, a special QR code will be generated, and it will be sufficient to indicate this code when passing passport control.
At the same time, ordinary paper cards will be retained for those who wish - those who wish can fill them out in the traditional way at the airport. The electronic form is mandatory for tourists, business travelers, visitors with invitations, and those entering both through and without a visa.
Only transit passengers and official government delegations are exempt from filling out the electronic card.
Experts emphasize that the main advantage of the digital access card is its speed. The QR code is valid 24 hours a day, so it is not necessary to take it in advance: it can be filled out even closer to the time of the trip.
