An unusual funeral of a family car was held in India

A remarkable event took place in Amreli, Gujarat, India. The Santay Polara family from Padarshinga village organized the funeral of their "happy" car. The Times of India reported on the incident.

The Polara family decided to dig a 4-meter pit in an agricultural area and bury the Wagon R cars that served them for 12 years and became a symbol of their success. More than 1,500 people, including clergy and religious scholars, were invited to this unusual ceremony.

Videos of the ceremony quickly spread on social networks. The video shows the car, decorated with wreaths, being brought to a special area, covered with green cloth, and buried after prayers were read by priests.

According to car owner Sanjay Polara, this car was a source of luck and blessings for the family. "This car has brought us great success and respect. Therefore, I decided not to sell it, but to bury it with honor," he said.

It was reported that 4 million rupees, or more than 44 thousand dollars, were spent on the ceremony. Festive tablecloths were presented to the guests. Also, in the future, it is planned to plant trees in the area where the car is buried. "Future generations should always remember this car, which has played an important role in the history of our family and brought happiness," the organizers of the event said.
