Criminal group involved in infant trafficking exposed in Kazakhstan

On December 12, the activities of a criminal group engaged in the sale of babies were exposed in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This was reported by Polisia.kz, citing official statements from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.

As a result of systematic operational measures carried out in various regions of the country, members of a group engaged in the deception of young women's children were identified. Taking advantage of the difficult living conditions of young mothers, they convinced them to give up their newborn babies with the help of money.

The members of the group have been detained, and more than 20 criminal cases are being investigated against them. Also, within the framework of the "STOP-traffic" operational and preventive measures, individuals who organized elite escort services in the cities of Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent were exposed. They engaged young girls in nightclubs and bars, organizing prostitution.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, crimes are being prevented through technical fines and raids, especially in Shymkent, Aktobe, Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, and Kostanay regions. The goal is to prevent young people from being involved in any crime and to strengthen moral values in society.
