Requests to move abroad among tech workers in Israel have increased. This comes after a two-year war with Hamas. The report says this may negatively affect the country’s innovation.
The tech sector is important in Israel’s economy. It provides 15% of jobs and more than half of exports. Big companies like Microsoft, Intel, Nvidia, Amazon, Meta, and Apple operate in the region. Some companies moved part of their operations abroad during the war.
Workers, especially senior staff, want to move abroad with their families. At the same time, many companies continue working in Israel, and some increased their operations during the war.
Leaders say Israel’s tech sector showed resilience during the war. However, without stable political and legal conditions, the sector’s stability may be at risk.
