22 people died in an accident that occurred on January 14 in Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima province. The incident occurred in an area located northeast of the capital, Bangkok. During the construction of the high-speed railway line, an operating crane collapsed onto the train. As a result, the train derailed, and a fire broke out.
According to official data, more than 30 people received injuries of varying severity as a result of the incident. Police and rescuers who arrived at the scene said that rescue operations are still ongoing and the causes of the incident are being investigated.
This tragedy is not the first accident that occurred during the construction of railway infrastructure in Thailand, but its consequences were very severe. All measures are being taken to save the lives of people at the scene of the tragedy.
