An explosion occurred in Shanxi Province, located in northern China. According to Xinhua news agency, eight people died as a result of an explosion in a workshop at the "Jiapeng" biotechnology plant in Shanin County, Shozhou city.
The cause of the explosion is currently unknown. Local authorities announced that they have launched an investigation into the incident. One of the company's employees is currently under arrest by law enforcement.
An investigative team has been formed at the scene, and the causes of the explosion and other details are being clarified. Officials stated that additional information about the incident will be provided.
