The tension in the Middle East is entering a new and terrifying stage. The statements of Tehran University professor Saeed Mohammad Marandi have shocked the world. In his opinion, Washington and Tel Aviv have fallen into a "trap" that is fatal for them. Zamin.uz presents the sensational predictions of the Iranian expert.
The military actions that began on February 28 were not an unexpected blow for Iran. According to Professor Marandi, the Islamic Republic has been preparing for this conflict for almost a quarter of a century, since the time when the US invaded Afghanistan and included Tehran in the "axis of evil".
Strategic goal: The first target is not Israel!
According to the expert, Iran's main military potential is not aimed at destroying Israel, but at confronting the main threat in the region - the United States.
"All of Iran's power is aimed at delivering a crushing blow to Washington in the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean. This is Washington's weakest point," the professor says.
Economic "nuclear weapon": the Persian Gulf
Marandi calls the Persian Gulf the most fragile region on the planet. It is here that 20 percent of the world's oil reserves and huge natural gas reserves are located. The transfer of war to this region would cause a "shock" to the global economy, which would inevitably have serious political consequences for Donald Trump.
"The Persian Gulf is the most vulnerable place on the planet, where 20 percent of all the world's oil is extracted, as well as natural gas. America is already in a state of shock, but the United States and its allies in the region are only getting worse," Marandi believes.
"Old drones are a tactic to deceive the enemy"
The strikes carried out so far are not a reflection of Tehran's real strength, but part of a cunning plan. According to the professor, Iran is still using 10-15-year-old outdated drones and missiles.
- The goal: to exhaust the enemy's expensive air defense systems ("Iron Dome" and others) and to exhaust its ammunition.
- The next step: In the coming hours or days, Iran will use its most modern, secret weapons.
"Trump Cards" and Regime Stability
Marandi is confident that the US and Israel's dreams of regime change or the destruction of the Ayatollah regime in Iran will not come true. According to him, Tehran's underground bases and huge arsenal are still full of "surprises."
