Military confrontation in the Middle East has reached a new stage. Iran has begun launching drone and missile strikes on strategic targets across several countries simultaneously. Specifically, an attack was carried out on the "Financial Harbour Towers" complex in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. Reports indicate that the Israeli embassy is located in this building, and one of the attacking drones was destroyed before reaching its target.
At the same time, Saudi Arabian defense systems intercepted several cruise missiles and drones near the Al-Kharj province and around Riyadh. The situation in Qatar has also become critical. An attack on the Al-Udeid air base was thwarted by air defense forces. Security measures have been tightened in this area, which hosts US military facilities, and residents of Doha have been warned to stay indoors and avoid open areas.
The scale of the war in the region has expanded, affecting countries such as Turkey and Azerbaijan. Against this backdrop, EU leaders held an emergency meeting in Brussels. EU High Representative Kaja Kallas and other leaders held talks with representatives of the Gulf Cooperation Council, strongly condemning Iran's actions and expressing support for the countries in the region.
