Tehran is currently conducting diplomatic negotiations with some countries seeking another crossing of the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi, but he did not specify which countries.
The drunkard said: the final decision is in the hands of the military, that is, in addition to political agreement, military surveillance and control play an important role. Later, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghani confirmed that ships from some countries had been granted special permission and allowed to pass through the strait.
According to experts, Tehran is controlling Hormuz not through full opening, but through a policy of selective permission. This aims to reduce political pressure and protect against tensions in the global oil market.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump appealed to European allies, urging them to join the efforts to open the strait. He even emphasized that "a very bad future" awaits NATO if there is no help.
However, European countries, including Great Britain, Germany, France, and other NATO members, have stated they will not expand military involvement in the Middle East. According to analysts, the US can open the strait by force if it wants to, but this will lead to great danger and global tension.
In addition, land operations may be necessary to fully open the Strait of Hormuz. This is due to prolonged military operations that can lead to heavy losses.
Thus, the problem of the Strait of Hormuz has not only regional, but also global political and economic significance, testing political strategies between Iran, the USA, and European countries.
