Esmail Baghaei - Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran - expressed sharp views on diplomatic relations with the USA.
He emphasized that Iran has repeatedly encountered negative experiences in the process of dialogue with the US. In particular, during negotiations on the nuclear issue, the country was attacked twice.
"We have a very difficult and bitter experience with US diplomacy. At the height of the negotiation process, we were hit twice in nine months. This is a clear manifestation of distrust and betrayal of diplomacy," he stressed.
According to the official representative, this situation has become a widely discussed issue among the Iranian public. In particular, such incidents were repeated not once, but twice, which led to a sharp decline in confidence.
"Therefore, today almost no one fully trusts US diplomacy," Baghaei concluded.
