Tragedy at the border post: serviceman in critical condition

The tragic incident that occurred in the Osh region of southern Kyrgyzstan shocked the public. On April 7 of this year, a 22-year-old serviceman serving at the Irkeshtam border post attempted to commit suicide.
According to local sources, in particular, the publication Turmush, the contract soldier was taken to the hospital in the village of Nura with a gunshot wound to the head. After receiving first aid there, he was immediately transferred to a hospital in the district center, Gulcha.
The doctor provided information about the patient's condition, noting that a struggle for his life is underway. According to him, qualified specialists from Osh performed emergency brain surgery on the border guard.
According to preliminary findings, the bullet struck the jaw area and passed vital blood vessels around the eyes. Currently, the serviceman is in critical condition, remains in a coma, and is connected to a ventilator. Doctors assess his condition as extremely serious.
An investigation has been initiated by the relevant authorities regarding this incident. The military prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation to determine the causes of the incident. The State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan reported that serviceman I.A. used a service weapon—an AK-74 assault rifle.
An internal investigation has been initiated regarding this incident, and all details of the incident are being investigated.
