The son of the President of Uganda, as well as a high-ranking commander in the country’s defense forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has made a controversial and highly sensational statement regarding Turkey. This was reported by the publication India Today.
In his social media post, he demanded a “dividend” from Turkey in the amount of one billion dollars, as well as the most beautiful woman in the country. His words sparked widespread public discussion.
“Besides one billion dollars from Turkey, I want to marry the most beautiful woman in that country!” he wrote on the X (Twitter) platform. However, the post was later deleted.
Kainerugaba also accused Turkey of gaining economic benefits through its cooperation with Somalia and made several political criticisms. Uganda, meanwhile, is involved in the fight against the “Al-Shabaab” group operating in Somalia.
The general also demanded “dividends” from revenues generated through securities trading and threatened that if his demands were not met, Uganda could cut diplomatic relations and ban Turkish Airlines flights.
Such statements are not new for him. In 2022, he had previously claimed that he would “capture Kenya’s capital within two weeks,” which caused major international controversy and eventually forced the President of Uganda to apologize on his behalf.
He has also stated that after US and Israeli strikes on Iran, Uganda would be ready to join military actions on Israel’s side.
