A 3-year-old child was hit by a falling brick

In Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region, a cladding panel fell from the facade of the House of Culture building, hitting a 3-year-old child in the head, after which he was placed in an artificial coma. This was reported by “Nur.kz”.
It is noted that the incident happened while the child was walking with his father near the building. The father even managed to shield his son from the first falling piece. According to the mother, the child lost a lot of blood, but doctors managed to save his life.
The injured child underwent complex surgery, part of his skull was removed, and he was placed into an artificial coma. The parents claim that the building’s cladding materials were not properly secured and demand that those responsible be punished.
“Our demand is to identify all those responsible for this case and bring them to justice. When I saw those pieces, there was no cement, no foam, not even a nail. It is unclear what they were attached to. All buildings should be inspected. If this part was installed poorly, the others may also be the same,” said the child’s mother, Sabina Kauapova.
According to reports, the House of Culture building was renovated 4 years ago, but cracks and defects were already found there in 2024.
“In 2024, problems were found in this very corner. We contacted the contractor, he promised to fix everything but did not. Later it turned out that it was the bankrupt company ‘Asia Nur 2030’. We carried out our own inspection, involved specialists and planned repairs,” said the head of the House of Culture department, Meiyrлан Kali.
A criminal case has been opened and the contractor is being sought by the police.
