Hundreds of migrants rescued from boats off the coast of Libya

The Libyan coast guard successfully rescued at least 404 migrants from 10 distressed boats off the country's coast, according to reports from Reuters. Following the operation, Red Crescent volunteers in Tobruk provided the survivors with essential medical care, food, and clothing. Libya remains a primary transit hub for individuals attempting the perilous journey from Africa to Europe, a route that continues to see frequent maritime tragedies and disappearances.
Hundreds of migrants stranded in dangerous conditions at sea have been rescued off the coast of Libya, Reuters reports.
According to reports, the coast guard of the country’s national army rescued at least 404 migrants from 10 boats that were in distress at sea and transported them to safety.
Volunteers from the Red Crescent Society in the city of Tobruk provided first aid, warm clothing, and food to the rescued individuals, who are representatives of various nationalities.
Libya remains one of the primary transit hubs for migrants attempting to cross from Africa to Europe. Earlier, reports surfaced regarding casualties and missing persons following a boat capsizing in the same region.
