Is the attack on Trump linked to Iran?

Donald Trump cast doubt on speculation that the shooting incident at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner could be linked to Iran. Trump said this during a briefing at the White House after the incident in Washington.
He said at the news conference that “I believe there is no connection between this incident and the situation surrounding Iran.” At the same time, the president said the incident would not affect his political views, adding, “This will not stop me and will not stand in the way of my path to victory over Iran.”
In Trump’s assessment, the person who carried out the attack most likely acted alone.
U.S. media, citing sources close to the investigation, are reporting that the suspect is 31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen.
He had been living in California and is currently in custody and being questioned. Formal charges against him are expected to be filed.
The person who carried out the attack was detained, and one U.S. Secret Service employee was injured during the incident. According to the president, his bulletproof vest saved his life.
