Ebola situation in Congo worsens

The situation regarding the Ebola virus in Congo is intensifying. According to Bloomberg, some flights have been canceled following the spread of the disease in the country.
According to local officials and African health authorities, the number of infected people reached 867 as of Friday. 204 people have died as a result of the disease.
The epicenter of the epidemic is reported to be the Ituri province, which borders Uganda. The fact that only a small portion of the 1,745 people who have been in contact with the infected are under observation makes the situation even more alarming.
Experts note that there is no approved vaccine or specific treatment for this rare strain of the virus. Doctors are even complaining about a shortage of personal protective equipment.
Due to insufficient border control, it is feared that Ebola could spread to neighboring countries such as Uganda and South Sudan.
