Chevrolet introduces Spark in a new crossover format
Chevrolet has unveiled a new compact crossover, which is essentially a rebadged version of the Chinese Baojun Yep Plus EV.

Following teaser images and a private showcase in Brazil, Chevrolet officially released images confirming the revival of the Spark name. The model is designated as Chevrolet Spark EUV for Latin America, featuring an "Activ" badge, likely indicating a specific trim level.

In terms of design, the Spark EUV closely mirrors the Baojun Yep Plus, with the only changes being Chevrolet's badging. The SUV features a boxy shape, large bumpers, LED headlights integrated into a glossy black panel, vertical taillights, and a side-hinged trunk door. While Chevrolet hasn't disclosed the dimensions, they are expected to be identical to the Chinese version: length – 3996 mm, width – 1760 mm, height – 1726 mm, and wheelbase – 2560 mm.

The interior of the Spark EUV is nearly identical to the Baojun Yep Plus, aside from the Chevrolet logo on the steering wheel. It features a digital instrument panel, a multimedia screen, and a floating center armrest with cup holders. The Brazilian version is expected to have market-specific features.

Technical specifications remain unannounced, but the Chinese version comes with a single front-mounted electric motor producing 102 hp and 180 Nm of torque. It has a 41.9 kWh battery, offering a range of 401 km under the CLTC cycle.

The full launch of the Chevrolet Spark EUV is set for the near future. In addition to Latin America, the model will also be sold in the Middle East. Chevrolet has previously rebranded Chinese models under its name, including the Captiva, Groove, and S10 Max, all derived from Baojun and Maxus vehicles.
