General Motors skips NYIAS 2025 premieres again
General Motors will not unveil any new models at the 2025 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), speedme.ru reported. This marks the second year in a row that the automaker has opted out of launching new vehicles at the event, despite the presence of its brands — Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac.

GM will still participate in the show by showcasing brand booths and offering test drives of its Chevy and Cadillac electric vehicles on a dedicated track. However, no new production or concept models will make their debut.

The company is currently focused on other projects, including the updated Chevrolet Bolt EV based on the Ultium platform (scheduled for 2026), the performance-oriented Cadillac Optiq-V, the hybrid supercar Corvette Zora, and the off-road version of the Silverado EV ZR2.

This decision reflects a broader industry trend: more automakers are moving away from traditional auto shows in favor of online presentations and standalone events.

Despite GM’s lack of premieres, the New York Auto Show will run from April 18 to April 27 and is expected to feature around twenty automotive brands.
