Starting October 1st, moped and scooter drivers will be required to have a driver's license. At the same time, state registration of these vehicles is required. This is stated in the amendments made to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the decree, separate distinguishing state license plates will be introduced for electric motorcycles, mopeds, and scooters. A temporary regulation has also been approved that defines the procedure for registering mopeds and scooters. This Regulation is valid until September 30, 2025.
The registration process is carried out through special registration and examination departments of the territorial departments of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate.
At the same time, persons who drive a moped or scooter without a driver's license will be subject to administrative fines in accordance with the established legislation.
