The "green transport" market in Uzbekistan is developing rapidly. According to the National Statistics Committee, in January-September 2025, 40,345 electric vehicles worth $473 million were imported into the country from 16 countries.
This figure is almost 2.5 times higher than in the same period last year - that is, with a difference of more than 24 thousand cars, the volume of imports has increased significantly.
China maintains the absolute leadership among the countries that supplied the most electric vehicles - 39,798 units. It is followed by Hong Kong (249 units), the Republic of Korea (165 units), Germany (43 units), and the USA (25 units).
Experts note that this trend indicates a growing interest in environmentally friendly, economical, and modern vehicles in the country. Electric vehicles are considered as a transport of the future not only from the point of view of economics, but also from the point of view of environmental sustainability.
