Parking prices in markets and shopping malls in Tashkent will increase on weekends. This is stated in the decision of the khokim of Tashkent on November 18. The khokimiyat issued an additional explanation regarding this decision.
It was reported that the company "Municipal Assets Management" studied the activities of parking lots. According to the analysis, ordinary buyers usually need only two hours to complete the necessary purchases. Therefore, the cost of the first two hours of stay remains unchanged.
The price increase mainly affects users who stay for a long time - that is, market employees, sellers, and those operating in the region. This measure was introduced to reduce the load on market areas and parking lots, and to keep parking spaces open and accessible to others.
The khokimiyat emphasized that this change will not negatively affect ordinary buyers, but, on the contrary, will serve to increase the safety and efficiency of parking near markets. It is planned to control order and turnover through prices.
