Geely revealed details of its new crossover

Geely is preparing to unveil the production version of its new Galaxy Cruiser crossover, a model that keeps much of the bold look shown by the concept car last year in Shanghai. Recent teaser images and photos of a camouflaged prototype have given a much clearer idea of what the final vehicle will look like before its official debut. Reports Kolesa.ru.
The new crossover is expected to retain the concept’s overall shape and proportions, but several design elements will change for series production. The side panels and window line appear to be revised, while the wheel arches look slightly smaller. At the front, the SUV stays close to the concept, although the bumper design seems less dramatic. The biggest difference is likely at the rear, where the striking tall vertical taillights from the concept may be replaced by simpler lamp units.
Because the model will join Geely’s Galaxy family, it is expected to feature an electrified powertrain. Chinese media reports suggest the crossover could arrive with a hybrid setup and an all-wheel-drive system supported by artificial intelligence. The lidar unit seen on the roof of the prototype also points to advanced driver-assistance features, possibly including autopilot functions.
Geely is set to present the new crossover next month at the Shanghai Auto Show. The company recently also announced the all-wheel-drive Geely Galaxy Starshine 7 sedan with a hybrid powertrain.
