The developers of Grok have announced that the AI-powered chatbot is now available in vehicles supporting Apple CarPlay. Drivers can now interact with Grok via voice commands while driving without touching their smartphones. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
As of 2026, Apple CarPlay is available in over 800 car and motorcycle models. This technology has become a standard in the modern automotive industry, with many models from 2017–2026 including this feature. The service is tailored for road conditions, allowing users to receive information in a concise format and perform various tasks.
To ensure safety, the system operates in a fully hands-free mode. This integration is expected to significantly expand Grok's audience. Additionally, SpaceXAI has introduced the Grok Computer update, which has the ability to work directly with the file system and command line.
Recently, Elon Musk announced that xAI and SpaceX have fully merged. xAI has ceased operations as an independent entity and became the SpaceXAI division within SpaceX. Furthermore, the platform launched the new Grok Imagine Quality Mode for image generation via API.
