Jaguar-style Toyota Yaris: Updated Mitsuoka Viewt Story unveiled

Japanese company Mitsuoka has updated the Viewt Story, a retro-hatchback based on the Toyota Yaris, while significantly increasing its price. The car retains its unique style, reminiscent of the Jaguar MK2: round headlights positioned near the center, chrome bumpers, and a classic radiator grille give it a vintage spirit. At the same time, the model has received several technical and equipment upgrades. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .

New shades have been added to the body color palette, with a total of 15 colors now available. The main change in the cabin is a larger 8-inch multimedia system replacing the previous 7-inch screen, along with a standard rearview camera. Hybrid versions now feature an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold, and the Toyota Safety Sense safety package has become standard across all trim levels.

There are also updates under the hood: the base 68 hp 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine has been discontinued. The Viewt Story now comes standard with a 118 hp 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine. It can be ordered with a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT, as well as in front-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations. Alternatively, a hybrid system with a 1.5-liter engine and one or two electric motors is offered.

In Japan, the price of the updated Mitsuoka Viewt Story now starts at 3,691,600 yen (approximately $23,200) for the manual gasoline version. The top-tier hybrid trim with the E-Four all-wheel-drive system is priced at 4,803,700 yen (approximately $30,100).
