In Tashkent, Azerbaijani MP Gunay Efendiyeva was awarded the honorary title and medal of “Cultural Ambassador of Uzbekistan,” Nova24 reported.
The award was personally presented by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Culture, Ozodbek Nazarbekov. He noted that, on the president’s instructions, special attention is given to supporting initiatives aimed at promoting and developing national culture.
Nazarbekov highlighted Efendiyeva’s contribution to promoting Uzbekistan’s historical and cultural heritage on the international stage.
Efendiyeva, in turn, expressed her gratitude for the recognition and stated that strengthening cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan has always been a priority for her.
She also confirmed her readiness to continue supporting humanitarian and cultural cooperation between the two friendly countries. During the meeting, both sides discussed key areas of cultural collaboration and preparations for the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
