Jennifer Lopez's concert in Tashkent brought significant economic benefits

 On August 7, 2025, a concert by one of America's most famous stars, Jennifer Lopez, took place at the “Bunyodkor” stadium in Tashkent. This concert was not only culturally important but also economically beneficial. After the event, Tashkent received over 42.5 billion Uzbek sums ($3.3 million) in tax revenues. This was reported by the organization that organized the event, the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Arts.

It was noted that this was the first concert in Uzbekistan’s history with an artist from the AAA category. A total of 31,144 people attended the event, 67% of whom were foreign spectators.

The concert opened new avenues for attracting international tourists to Uzbekistan. A total of 15,330 foreign tourists visited Tashkent, including 8,945 Russians, 2,495 Kazakhs, and numerous tourists from Europe and the USA. Hotels, transport services, and various trade points in the city were prepared for them.

Moreover, the event resulted in significant improvements in Tashkent’s services and infrastructure. From August 5-8, hotel bookings in the capital increased by 25.7%, and on August 7, the Chilonzor metro line served 16.5 thousand more passengers.

115 different organizations participated in organizing the concert. As a result, 18 food courts and trade points operated, most of which met international standards. In terms of ensuring public order and safety, 88 patrol cars and specialized equipment, as well as 8 ambulances, were deployed. In total, 3,800 law enforcement officers and 300 volunteers worked to maintain safety and cleanliness at the concert site.
