P. Diddy launches business and motivation course for prisoners

American rapper and producer P. Diddy (real name Sean Combs) has launched a personal development course in prison called “Life Lessons from Diddy.” The news was reported by The Wall Street Journal.

As part of the project, the rapper gives prisoners advice on running a business, thinking positively, accepting failure, controlling personal emotions, and setting and achieving goals. It is also noted that he teaches the secrets of staying competitive.

The six-week course includes not only lectures but also practical assignments. According to the documents, “the program offers a close look into the life of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs — from modest beginnings to becoming a global entrepreneur and cultural icon.”

The rapper’s lawyers emphasize that Combs’s desire to help prisoners should be considered by the court as a mitigating factor. According to them, P. Diddy has called these courses “one of the most meaningful and impactful initiatives of his life.”

It should be recalled that in early July, a jury delivered a verdict in P. Diddy’s case. He was found guilty of transporting women for prostitution but acquitted of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and organizing criminal activity.

The lawyers asked the judge to sentence him to 14 months in prison, while federal prosecutors demanded 11 years of imprisonment and a $500,000 fine.
