About Kumush Razzoqova, who does not want others to sing her songs

Singer Kumush Razzoqova is considered one of the artists who does not like to openly talk about her personal life. Her name was given by her father in admiration of the character Kumush from Abdulla Qodiriy’s novel “O‘tkan kunlar” (“Bygone Days”). The artist married Russian actor and musician Vladimir Baramikov. After living together for twenty years, they divorced.
In 2013, Kumush Razzoqova was involved in a serious car accident and sustained severe injuries. As a result, the singer was unable to walk for two months.
She began her creative career in the group “Sado”. However, for certain reasons, the group later disbanded. Currently, the singer is almost no longer active creatively. In interviews, she emphasizes that it is now time to give way to younger performers on stage.
In addition, Kumush Razzoqova has openly stated that she is against other artists performing her songs on stage.
“I am still alive. I do not allow others to sing my songs,” she says.
According to the singer, everything has a beginning as well as an end:
“One day, an artist must leave the stage and make room for the younger generation that comes after. I do not understand singers who, even in old age, fight for ratings, struggling tooth and nail. I have achieved everything that can be achieved in art; now it is time to give way to the young,” she says in one of her interviews.
Kumush Razzoqova has also admitted that she considers her biggest flaw to be a lack of fighting spirit.
“I still haven’t been able to overcome this flaw. I give up easily,” the singer admits openly.
Songs performed by Kumush Razzoqova such as “Yomg‘ir”, “Men seni hech kimga bermayman”, “Oq bulut”, “Saraton”, “Ikki daraxt”, and dozens of others continue to hold a firm place in the hearts of Uzbek listeners.
