On January 28, an award ceremony for the winners of the "Stars of New Uzbekistan" National Award for Culture and Art took place at the Renaissance Hall complex in Tashkent. This event attracted the attention of art lovers as one of the most important events in the cultural life of the country.
At the ceremony, artists who made a worthy contribution to the development of art and culture throughout the year were recognized in various nominations. In particular, in the direction of maqom performance, Ozodjon Tillanazarov and Nargizakhon Rakhmonova were recognized as the best male and female singers. Damir Rakhmonov was recognized as the best in opera, and Gaybulla Tursunov and Dilnoz Khakimova were recognized as the best in pop music.
In the field of theater and cinema, a number of artists have also received awards. "The Lament of Two Hearts" was declared the best performance of the year, and "The Practicing Girl" - the best film of the year. Ulugbek Akhmedov and Raykhon Ubaydullaeva were recognized as the best theater actors and actresses, and Kudrat Otajonov as the best director.
The most worthy representatives of the year were also awarded in the areas of circus, askiya, humor, bakhshi, dance, and fine arts. In the regional and collective nominations, the cultural center of the Farish district of the Jizzakh region and the folklore-ethnographic collective "Durdona" received special recognition.
At the end of the event, artists promoting Uzbek culture abroad were also not forgotten. Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, Head of the TURKSOY Department, Arman Nurmakhamatuli, was awarded the "Best Promoter of Uzbek Culture Abroad of the Year" prize.
The award ceremony was significant for appreciating the work of artists and inspiring them to new creative achievements.
