Cultural reforms in Uzbekistan: open dialogues have begun

In Uzbekistan, a season of open dialogues aimed at fundamentally reforming the field of culture and art is beginning. These meetings, organized in accordance with the President’s instructions, will involve representatives of the sector, creative professionals, and entrepreneurs.

These dialogues are held with the participation of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the leadership of the Ministry of Culture. The participation of the minister Ozodbek Nazarbekov is also planned.

The events will be organized on April 20–25, 2026, according to a separately approved schedule. The main goal is to discuss pressing issues in the sector and develop solutions.

The open dialogues cover a wide range of areas. In particular, cinema and animation, theater and circus, literary creativity, music, and dance will be discussed separately. In addition, handicrafts, museums, archaeology, and children’s content are also included in the agenda.

To participate in the dialogue, registration is carried out via the bot @mv_ochiqmuloqot_bot. Registered citizens will be able to take part in the meetings according to the established schedule.
